Any procedure for continuous improvement should be based on an analytical basis.

Many methodologies, such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Six Sigma, are aimed at improving production. All of them are based on a strategy of continuous measurement of the real situation, information analysis and subsequent action-reaction. Produktika industrial system is a new hardware-software developed for the capture and analysis the performance of the equipments, providing support to all these processes.

The Produktika system is the assistant that controls on an ongoing three possible causes of loss of efficiency:

  • Availability (Poor maintenance, breakdowns, unscheduled stoppages, ...)
  • Performance (Bottlenecks, low speed of the process, minor stops, ...)
  • Quality (Initial rejections, defects in the process, reprocessed, ...)

Over the past decade have been earmarked billions of euros in new ERP (enterprise resource planning). These investments are intended to integrate business and manufacturing processes. In most cases, companies were literally collapsed core projects for implementation of ERP systems, so that could never be complete. The steady improvement of business process and the implementation of optimized processes require a closer integration of automation systems from the factory with commercial systems. During the next decade there will be a further attempt to exploit the potential substantial improvements that allow new technologies of information and communication technologies (ICT's) applied to the production and that will cause new investment in automation.
